Oxymoron is a collection of ceramic vases designed by Patricia Urquiola. Her goal is to pay homage to nature and to its passage. Each vase is a unique piece in ceramic made by hand by skilled Italian artisans who reproduce the smoothing action of water and wind on the rock, on the earth, on life. The passing of time is witnessed by evocative traces that are combined with a brightly enameled finish. Each vase – available in four colors, green, light
blue, pink and light yellow – is handcrafted half of glazed ceramic while the other half features a texture crossed by gently carved cavities. It takes several steps and processes to get to the final result: a contemporary vase with a worn out by time flair. There is no identical vase to the other, just like any other natural expression of the earth.
